Every attorney advises to always read before you sign, yet Judge Preisse's habitual lack of attention to detail has gained her a reputation for being a "rubber stamper."

Judge Preisse's carelessness resulted in her approving out of county case transfers like the HOT POTATO case from neighboring Licking County involving two lesbians disputing over child custody.  The Other Paper failed to mention Judge Preisse in the article in spite of having been informed by Squire that although she was assigned to the case, it was Judge Preisse who signed an "agreed entry" accepting the case and transferring responsibility to Franklin County.
